One to one classes

Here are some information on where I conduct my one to one classes

Lesson At My Home Studio

To provide my students with the best possible foundation, I've chosen to use an acoustic piano a Bechstein A124 for our lessons.

Acoustic pianos offer a superior tactile experience, allowing students to develop refined technique and touch. Additionally, I've selected a European piano to expose them to the rich, traditional sound that European instruments are renowned for.

Online Piano Lesson

This is my most popular lesson at the moment. Around 80% of my lessons are conducted online.

To make sure that my online lessons are as effective as in person lesson, I have devoted considerable time and resources to on my online setup. Some of my students have even commented that my online lessons are more productive compared to in-person sessions.

Customised Video Lesson

This course is perfect for students who want more flexibility, preferring to learn on their own with a well thought-out plan and support from their teacher when they need it.

How my video lesson works is

The main difference between my video lessons compare to, say, learning on youtube/other online courses is

I will plan and send you materials that suit you, so it's not a case where I send you videos and you are expected to figure out what's going on on your own. And if you need videos that help you improve that I don't have at the moment, I will record them for you.

When you have practiced, you can send me your playing, and I will correct it and suggest how to improve.

A video response will be sent to you.

Here's an example of a video response

What are the songs you teach?

While it's quite difficult to put all my covers, etc. on this website, I have several covers on my Instagram page.

Progression

As you progress, you can expect to play more complicated stuff (or pieces/material), ranging from more left-hand patterns and harmony to fill-ins. Here are some videos on what you can play as you progress.

FAQ

Am I too old to learn?

Not at all, most of my students are adults, and many of them started as beginners. With the right approach and methods, anyone can learn to play.

Am I permitted to cancel my lessons at the last minute?

I do not forfeit lessons; any lessons that are canceled can be rescheduled or made up with a video lesson.

Why are your rates set at a fixed rate?

My course fees are set at a fixed rate due to the experiences I've had with some of my students being forced to quit due to financial issues. For that reason, I have decided to charge everyone a fair and constant rate.

Are there any additional costs apart from the course fees that I need to cover?

No, all the materials are included. You only need to pay for the lesson fees and nothing else.

Is 45 minutes per lesson enough?

Yes, other than the main lessons which are 45 minutes a week, I am also providing you with video lessons and assistance outside of lesson time.

Why are your rates cheaper than the music schools?

Because you are only paying for my financial survival, that's it. The fees you pay don't need to cover expenses such as paying a landlord or administrative staff. The savings I obtain from these costs allow me to offer a better rate to everyone.
